Will Mitchell (portrayed by Freddie Phillips) is encountering the dangers of peer pressure again on BBC One as he spends time with Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James).

In scenes due on our screens next week, Avani pressures the lad into vaping, unaware of the consequences ahead.

It doesn’t take long for Will’s mother Honey (Emma Barton) to catch him red-handed with a vape and, horrified, she demands to know who sold it to him.

Honey eventually finds out Avani is to blame which prompts her to charge into The Queen Vic, where she has it out with the teen’s mother, Priya (Sophie Khan Levy).

An unrepentant Priya further angers Honey and, soon enough, Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) arrives before profusely apologising.

Unfortunately, Priya doesn’t back down and makes the situation ten times worse.

A harsh conversation transpires between Ravi and Avani as he confronts her about selling vapes.

But much like her mother Priya, the teen stands her ground, particularly when her father criticises her parenting skills.

Following their argument, Priya decides to turn her focus to fresh beginnings as she flirts with Martin Fowler (James Bye).

Priya takes things up a notch and invites him to buy her a drink at Peggy’s that same night.

Ravi soon comes to find her and apologises, leading Priya to tell him she’ll deal with Avani.

Will she keep her word?

Whatever the case may be, tension rises again later on when Ravi finds Priya at Peggy’s.

The pair share a warm moment as they discuss their daughter but when he asks if he can join Priya for a drink, she sends him packing in favour of Martin, who shows up in just in time.

How will Ravi react?

EastEnders favourite Ben Mitchell has been tipped for quite a sad exit storyline.

Actor Max Bowden has been confirmed to be leaving the BBC One soap, and now The Sun claim that Phil Mitchell’s troublesome son will have his final scenes air around Easter.

Apparently, those scenes will see the police turn up and take Ben away in handcuffs, with the reasoning being that something he did during his jaunt in America last year has come back to bite him.

Ben won’t be expecting the authorities, and therefore won’t be able to escape being shipped off to America.

The character has been played by six actors over the years, starting in 1996. Bowden took over the role in 2019, and his storylines have seen him begin a relationship with Callum Highway, struggle with Lola Pearce-Brown’s cancer diagnosis, deal with the trauma of being assaulted by Lewis Butler and getting shot by Hunter Owner, to name just a few.

When his exit was confirmed, we at Digital Spy wrote that it might be a good thing, due to his characterisation throughout these storylines.

“The problem is this complex pathos has never been truly explored by the writers. We never discuss how the trauma Ben endured affected him,” we said.

“Viewers were never treated to a storyline focusing on Ben becoming a paragon of toxic masculinity to compensate for the homophobia he faced at home and on the streets. Instead, Ben simply doubled down on being a baddie and fans were meant to accept it because he is Phil Mitchell’s son.”

“Why did the six of you cook up an elaborate cover-up on the night one man gets attacked and another one goes missing?” Jack asked.

He warned that he couldn’t protect Denise unless she was honest with him. Denise admitted that she’d attacked Nish with the bottle because he was trying to kill Suki.

“You can plead reasonable force when you confess,” Jack told Denise.

Denise was horrified at the prospect of confessing, so she changed the story to suggest she’d hit Nish “with such force” because she’d fallen out with Jack on Christmas Day.

“You used your daughter’s self-harm to blackmail me into staying with you,” she recalled. “In that moment of blind rage, I dunno, maybe I did wish it was you.”

She turned the tables on Jack, claiming she’d hidden the truth to protect her husband’s “precious job”. Jack apologised again, telling her that he loves her.
