Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) has been tampering with ill daughter Jade Masood’s (Elizabeth Green) medication in EastEnders, and it is set to have terrible consequences.
With Jade determined to move to Pakistan with mum Shabnam as soon as she is well enough, Dean has made it his mission to ensure that she doesn’t get any better, in order to keep her close to him.
In order to do this, vile Dean has been emptying her antibiotics without her knowing.
However, in upcoming scenes, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) is left worried when Jade has a terrible coughing fit as a result of her chest infection and previous lung transplant.

Dean is horrified as Jean calls the doctor, terrified of being found out, but things only get worse when Jade looks at his phone, leaving him with a lot of explaining to do.
When Jean and Jade confront him over ignoring Shabnam’s calls and texts, he persuades them that he has just been burying his head in the sand.
This leaves Jade confused, as Shabnam already knows that Jade is too ill to travel to Pakistan at the moment.
Later, Jade asks Dean if she can go to the fundraiser in the Queen Vic that Jean has helped her to organise, and he agrees, on the condition that she is well enough.
However, unbeknown to Jade, he continues to mess with her antibiotics.
At the Vic, Dean is clearly not welcome, but Jade begs Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) to let him stay long enough to watch her speech.
As she waits for her big moment, Dean begs her not to leave London, but his efforts are

EastEnders favourite Ben Mitchell has been tipped for quite a sad exit storyline.
Actor Max Bowden has been confirmed to be leaving the BBC One soap, and now The Sun claim that Phil Mitchell’s troublesome son will have his final scenes air around Easter.
Apparently, those scenes will see the police turn up and take Ben away in handcuffs, with the reasoning being that something he did during his jaunt in America last year has come back to bite him.

Ben won’t be expecting the authorities, and therefore won’t be able to escape being shipped off to America.
The character has been played by six actors over the years, starting in 1996. Bowden took over the role in 2019, and his storylines have seen him begin a relationship with Callum Highway, struggle with Lola Pearce-Brown’s cancer diagnosis, deal with the trauma of being assaulted by Lewis Butler and getting shot by Hunter Owner, to name just a few.
When his exit was confirmed, we at Digital Spy wrote that it might be a good thing, due to his characterisation throughout these storylines.
“The problem is this complex pathos has never been truly explored by the writers. We never discuss how the trauma Ben endured affected him,” we said.

“Viewers were never treated to a storyline focusing on Ben becoming a paragon of toxic masculinity to compensate for the homophobia he faced at home and on the streets. Instead, Ben simply doubled down on being a baddie and fans were meant to accept it because he is Phil Mitchell’s son.”
Next week, the EastEnders favourite has an enlightening chat with one of Dean’s enemies and makes a huge discovery.
The cleaner portrayed by Gillian Wright was delighted to see Jade Green return to Albert Square, years after leaving with her mother Shabnam Masood, one of Jean’s pals.
In an attempt to protect her for absent Shabnam, Jean decided to get closer to Jade, which led the teen’s father Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) to believe he’d finally found an ally in Walford.
Jean made it clear to Dean she only wants to take care of Jade for Shabnam and his mother, another one of her close friends, Shirley Carter.
For Jade, Jean has been ready to keep the peace with Dean, although she heard through the grapevine that he once raped Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and tried to sexually assault Roxy Mitchell.
