YOLANDE Trueman has found her mark again in Walford after making a permanent return in August, 2023.
Unfortunately for her, gossip is rife in the Square and the EastEnders legend is shaken when rumours report she’s having an affair.
Actress Angela Wynter reprised the role of Yolande Trueman last year as the character returned to Albert Square during the summer.
Upon her surprise return, Yolande rekindled her marriage with fellow legend Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) after spending years separated from him.
As diehard viewers of the London-based program will remember, Yolande was married to Patrick Trueman when she decided to leave Walford in 2008 for a new life in Birmingham.
Although he initially planned to join her, Patrick stayed in the Square and they called time on their marriage.
In recent scenes of the BBC One soap, Yolande was the target of a brutal attack with Walford teen Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega).
Prior to this, Denzel suspected that Yolande may be having an affair with Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler).
Next week, Yolande is caught up with the same suspicions again as someone from the local church becomes increasingly convinced she’s hiding something.
It all begins when Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) steps in to save the day when Jade Green (Elizabeth Green) is about to cancel her charity auction but there’s an awful lot to do and very little time.
The cleaner struggles with a lack of donations for the auction but, thankfully for her, Pastor Clayton and Yolande approach her and agree to help.
Later on, Yolande addresses the prayer group to ask for donations to the charity auction.
Yolande and Pastor Clayton make an outstanding team and she gives a thrilled Jean tons of great items, becoming elated in doing so.
Unfortunately, Yolande’s joy is cut short and she’s upset to discover from fellow church-goer Agatha that people are whispering about her relationship with Pastor Clayton.
An upsetting incident at the church leaves Yolande feeling worse about the rumours flying around her and Pastor Clayton.
This is until Pastor Clayton himself makes her tell him what’s going on.
Once he finds out, he denounces the gossips, making Yolande promise that it won’t affect their friendship.
But could there be more to their bond?
Is Yolande keeping something from Patrick?
Fans may recall that Pastor Clayton was brought into the EastEnders line-up for a shocking love triangle storyline.

Comments had already been made about the pair’s friendship when Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) was helping them out at the community centre.
Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) made a joke about there being more than meets they eye with the two, with Denzel leaping to their defence.
After spending more time around the two, Denzel admitted to Yolande that he thought the Pastor had somewhat of an admiration for her.
Worried about the effect it might have after recently reconciling with ex-husband Patrick (Rudolph Walker), she brushed off the claims.
In upcoming scenes, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) agrees to help out Jade Masood (Elizabeth Green) with a charity auction she’s arranged but is planning to cancel due to the amount of preparation it requires.
Realising there is a huge lack of donations, she asks Yolande and the Pastor to step in and aid the teen, who is currently stuck between a rock and a hard place as she debates moving to Pakistan, thousands of miles away from her controlling dad Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo).
At the prayer group, Yolande’s appeal for help is met with a great response when the donations fly in.
However, when church-goer Agatha suggests that fellow parishioners have been gossiping about her relationship with Pastor Clayton, she’s mortified.
Following an upsetting incident, he forces her to come clean about what’s been said and promises her that they won’t let the gossips get the better of their close friendship. Could an affair be on the cards for the pair, or will Patrick get the wrong idea when he returns to Walford?
