EASTENDERS fans have ‘worked out’ Chelsea Fox’s new boyfriend – and beg soap bosses to make them official.
The long-running BBC One soap delivered on drama this week as Chelsea Fox lashed out at Jack Branning.
She was left seething when she was told how the copper was sleeping with Stacey in a betrayal to her mother Denise.
Martin Fowler returned to the Square earlier this week as James Bye reprised his role after a brief break.
The fruit and veg trader caught his ex Stacey in a passionate kiss with Jack and demanded answers.
Not satisfied, he let slip their affair to Chelsea, who is played by Zaraah Abrahams.
But eagle-eyed viewers couldn’t help but notice Martin and Chelsea’s apparent chemistry together.
It’s led them to suspect they’ll end up together as they pleaded with EastEnders bosses to make it happen.
Taking to a web forum, one fan said: “Not sure if I’m reading too much into their scenes tonight but could the show be setting up a fling or relationship between her and Martin in the future.”
A second wrote: “I’m kind of here for Chelsea and Martin after their scenes today. Aside from having some decent chemistry it would give a bit of focus to two characters who have been drifting for a while.”
“A slightly gratuitous thread, but I’m finally feeling excited about Chelsea’s future now that she’s appearing more consistently again and I wonder what sort of storylines we’d all like to see for her going forward,” said a third.

Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) has developed an unhealthy obsession with fitness in EastEnders, and has endeavoured to try anabolic steroids alongside his new, intense fitness routine.
His issues with his body image began after an altercation with bully Logan, which saw him get attacked.
Since then, he has taken up boxing and changed his eating habits, determined to ‘bulk up’.
In upcoming scenes, his obsession with the gym causes more problems in his relationship with Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd), and he leaves her upset when he snaps at her after a lecture on his obsession.
Though he is struck with guilt, he is soon cheered up by a notification that his steroids are set to be delivered today.
Later, he faces more opposition to his lifestyle choices from Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), who questions him on his diet in the café.
Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) overhears the pair clashing, and soon encourages Yolande to stand firm.
Back at home, Denzel remains closed-down, but when a mysterious package arrives, Yolande hides it before trying to get to the bottom of his current struggles.
After receiving advice from Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), Yolande tries again to get Denzel to open up about his troubles, but he refuses.
Yolande quickly explains that if he wants his parcel back, then he is going to have to start talking.
Little does Yolande know, the package contains steroids, and Denzel is determined to get it back…
The next day, Denzel makes amends with Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) after he lies about his confrontation with Yolande.
